Description

Detached gable-fronted church, built c. 1950, having five-bay nave elevations. Now disused. Pitched corrugated-iron roof. Corrugated-iron walls. Remains of timber fittings to openings.

Appraisal

Forming a group with the barrack buildings scattering in and around the fort, this church is an interesting twentieth century addition. Corrugated-iron was used in many barracks throughout the country at the time, and is an interested contrast to the stone and brick of earlier buildings.
