Freestanding carved limestone monument, erected 1968, comprising Celtic high cross with interlace strap, set on rectangular pedestal and plinth. Inscribed marble plaque to south-east elevation. Brick boundary walls on three sides.
This monument, unveiled by Flor Begley on 17 March 1968, commemorates the men who lost their lives in service to the IRA, killed in battle on 15 February 1921. It is an important historic and artistic roadside addition.
