Freestanding square-profile roughly coursed limestone and red brick chimney, built c. 1860, tapering and having red brick stringcourses to upper section.
Finely crafted limestone and brick chimney that possibly once served a flax factory located within the Trabolgan demesne. Edmond Roche Esq., Lord Fermoy, began construction of the 600 acre demesne c. 1700, the Roche family remained in the house until 1880 at which time it was sold to Captain Clarke. The survival of these demesne structures adds significantly to the architectural heritage of the area.
