Detached multiple-bay three- and four-storey mill, built c.1800, altered and extended 1836. Pitched slate roofs. Rubble stone walls with dressed rubble stone quoins. Square-headed window openings having dressed rubble stone voussoirs and sills.
A substantial mill complex which would once have been the economic centre of Ballinadeen and the surrounding landscape. It has survived largely intact and is a striking reminder of the industrial heritage of the area. According to Lewis's Topographical Directory, it was 'a large flour mill of great power, which was much improved in 1836.'
