Detached five-bay single-storey former dance hall, built c.1940, now in use as a store. Lean-to extensions to south-east elevation. Hipped corrugated-iron roof. Corrugated-iron walls with rubble-stone plinth foundation. Square-headed openings with timber framed bipartite casement windows. Square-headed door openings with double-leaf timber battened doors and painted timber surrounds. Remains of timber porch with pitched roof to north-west elevation.
The building is of particular note due to its corrugated-iron construction. The rapid and inexpensive constructional possibilities of corrugated-iron was recognised in the latter part of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. This mass produced material was adapted to a wide variety of building types, ranging from military, to domestic, to railway. Corrugated-iron buildings are becoming increasingly rare as their heritage value is often overlooked. Once used as a dance hall, this building would have played a significant role in the social fabric of the surrounding area.
