Four-arch road bridge, built c.1810, spanning Argideen River. Round-headed arches having dressed stone voussoirs and rendered soffits springing from rubble stone piers with full-length V-cutwaters to west elevation. Overgrown to east elevation. Rubble stone spandrels and parapets with round-headed rendered stone coping to parapets.
A prominent bridge with four impressive arches which is an important landmark in the surrounding landscape. It displays high-quality stonework in its arches, spandrels, parapet walls and impressive full-height cutwaters. This solid bridge continues to fulfil its important function of crossing the river at the highest point to which ordinary tides flow.
