Double-arch humpback road bridge, built c.1860, spanning Garranefeen Bay. Round-headed arches with ashlar limestone voussoirs and soffit springing from dressed rubble stone piers. Battered buttressed walls to side piers. Rubble stone parapet walls and spandrels with rendered coping.
Set within a picturesque rural landscape this bridge is highly visible and makes a positive contribution to the area. The bridge fits in well with its surroundings, as it is made from local materials. The finely tooled stonework sections seen in the arches demonstrate the superb craftsmanship involved with its construction.
