Detached multiple-bay mill, built c.1790, now ruinous. Central nine-bay two-storey block with two-bay two-storey block to front (east). Gable-fronted double-height block to front and single-storey addition to rear (west). Roofs absent with rubble stone gables to double-height and single-storey additions to front and rear elevations. Breaks to side (north, south) elevations of central block. Camber-headed window openings with stone sills and dressed rubble stone voussoirs throughout. Camber-headed carriageway to double-height block, having dressed rubble stone voussoirs.
These ruinous remains of a mill serve as a physical reminder of the industrial and social history of the area, and make a striking contribution to the landscape. Its siting to the south of the former Arundel mills to the north suggest that it was part of that industrial complex.
