Triple-span road bridge spanning tidal stream, built c.1800, comprising central segmental arch with voussoirs, flanked by square-headed openings. Coursed rubble limestone construction having parapet, date plaque and rounded upright coping.
This structure is an excellent example of the high level of craftsmanship employed in the construction of rural bridges during the nineteenth century. It stands as testament to the early efforts to improve road links in this area. The bridge is reputed to have been built by an architect named Long, who designed the nearby Greenmount House.
