Description

Triple-arch humpback road bridge, built c.1760, spanning Roury River. Round-headed arches having cut limestone voussoirs springing from rubble limestone piers. Rendered pilaster to northern end of west elevation. Rubble stone spandrels and parapets with rounded rendered coping.

Appraisal

An impressive triple-arch bridge that retains much of its original character and form. Excellent stone craftsmanship can be seen in the contrasting cut limestone voussoirs and the rubble stone walls. This bridge is an important connection point linking several rural roads and making the area more accessible.
