Freestanding rectangular-plan mausoleum, built c.1890, having three-bay entrance front. Snecked stone walls with ashlar string course and buttresses. Ashlar limestone roof with carved Celtic cross finals to gables. Pointed arch blind openings having ashlar limestone surrounds, and continuous hood mouldings to entrance front. Recessed blank plaques. Cast-iron door to entrance.
An eye-catching mausoleum set within a graveyard which contains many fine grave markers and monuments spanning several centuries. Its Celtic Revival style is an interesting reminder of the resurgence in Irish identity which grew in the late nineteenth century, and found expression in art, architecture and literature at the time.
