Description

Detached L-plan six-bay two-storey house, built 1792, with single-bay single-storey gabled projecting porch to left and six-bay two-storey return to rear to west having square-headed door opening with cut-stone doorcase and entablature. Renovated, c. 1880, with pair of two-storey canted bay windows added to west elevation. Now in use as hotel. Pitched and hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks. Painted rendered walls. Timber two-over-two pane sliding sash windows with painted stone sills. Signs of porch removed from right doorway. Curvilinear bargeboard to porch with replacement doors. Retaining interior features. Gateway, built c. 1820, to south-east comprising pair of rendered piers with cast-iron gates and railings.
