Detached six-bay single-storey schoolhouse, built c. 1860, originally with pair of single-bay single-storey lean-to projecting porches to south. Renovated, refenestrated and extended to south in late twentieth century with four-bay single-storey lean-to infill return. Now disused. Hipped slate roof with clay ridge tiles, artificial slate to south west and south, and having rendered central chimneystack with corbelling. Random red sandstone walls with grey limestone quoins and painted plaque reading "Dauros National School" in carved limestone. Limestone sills, lintels and reveals to replacement windows. Steel railings to road, original location of entrance visible in retaining wall, now entered from rear.
