Appraisal

This mill complex is an imposing feature within the local landscape. It retains its original form and salient features such as the slate roof and brick chimneystacks. It was historically used as a creamery. The water wheel is a notable feature, which adds context to the site. The mill forms part of a related group of industrial structures including the mill race and mill manager's house to the east.
