Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c. 1870, with two-storey extensions to rear (east) elevation. Hipped slate roof with brick chimneystacks. Roughcast rendered walls having render strip quoins, stringcourse and plinth course. Square-headed openings with painted stone sills, render surrounds and replacement uPVC windows. Segmental-headed opening comprising render Doric style pilasters having paired Doric style engaged columns to caps supporting dentilated render cornice. Floral render motifs to spandrels flanking stained glass overlight over timber panelled door with flanking stained glass sidelights. Pair of rendered square-profile piers having double-leaf cast-iron gates and sweeping roughcast rendered walls with render caps terminating in second pair of piers. Rubble limestone boundary walls to site.
The modest form of this house is enlivened by the simple render details, culminating in the highly decorative and well executed doorway, which forms the focal point of the façade. The house presents a unified front and makes a positive contribution to the local architectural heritage.
