Freestanding chimney, c.1875, on a square plan. Disused, 1903. Part ivy-covered red brick English bond battered walls on overgrown base with lichen-spotted cut-limestone cornice below capping. Set in field.
An eye-catching chimney surviving as an interesting relic of the Kiltinan Brick Works complex developed on the assumption that a siding on the Southern Railway line opened (1879-80) between Clonmel and Thurles was imminent and abandoned when that siding did not come to pass. NOTE: An adjacent ovoid brickyard and kiln were lost following the sale of the site in 1981.
