Detached three-bay two-storey country house with attic, dated 1824, with modern glazed porch to front. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystacks and dormer windows at northeast and southwest. Roughcast rendered walls with cut-stone eaves course and square-headed openings having timber sliding sash windows, nine-over-six pane to ground floor and six-over-six pane to first floor, with stone sills. Round-headed door opening with replacement timber door and glazing. Outbuildings to northwest with hipped artificial slate roofs and rendered walls. Gate lodge to southeast with hipped slate roof and rendered walls.
Annaghbeg House is enhanced by the retention of original features and materials, such as the timber sash windows and slate roof. The house forms an interesting group with the surviving related outbuildings and gate lodge. It occupies a notable raised site and is has an impressive appearance in the landscape.
