Terraced three-bay two-storey house, built 1877. Reroofed, c.1975. Refenestrated, c.2000. Pitched roof with replacement artificial slate, c.1965, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls with rendered channelled pier. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, rendered sill course to first floor, and moulded rendered surrounds having shallow segmental-headed profile. Replacement timber casement windows, c.2000. Square-headed door opening with rendered surround having shallow pediment over, and replacement timber panelled door, c.2000. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
This house is an attractive, modest-scale building that is distinguished by the fine rendered detailing to the openings. The house retains its original form, although the replacement fittings to the openings do not enhance the external appearance of the composition. The house is an important component of the streetscape and contributes to the historic quality of Shortcourse.
