Section of raised stone flagged footpath, c.1890, on random rubble stone plinth with cut-stone kerbing and flights of steps.
Appraisal
This section of footpath is of significance as a reminder of the traditional method of paving, employing locally-sourced stone. The footpath is an attractive, and subtle, feature in the streetscape and is imbued with a picturesque quality that is lacking in modern cement and concrete footpaths.
