Terraced two-bay three-storey house, c.1830. Extensively renovated, c.1880, with shopfront inserted to ground floor. Reroofed, pre-1999. Now disused. Pitched (shared) roof with replacement artificial slate, pre-1999, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and replacement 1/1 timber sash windows, c.1880. Timber shopfront, c.1880, to ground floor with panelled pilasters, fixed-pane timber display window, timber panelled door with overlight, and timber fascia over having moulded cornice. Road fronted with concrete brick cobbled footpath to front.
An elegant house of modest appearance that retains its original form and massing, together with substantial quantities of the early fabric. The house incorporates an appealing, simple shopfront, which is of artistic design merit, and which enhances the visual appeal of the composition at street level. The house makes a positive contribution to the streetscape value of Main Street.
