Terraced two-bay three-storey house, c.1850. Extensively renovated and extended, c.2000, comprising three-bay single-storey lean-to parallel range along rear (south-west) elevation. One of a group of four. Pitched slate roof (lean-to to parallel range along rear (south-west) elevation) with clay ridge tiles, rendered (shared) chimney stacks, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods, c.2000, on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with rendered sills, and rendered surrounds, c.2000. Replacement uPVC casement windows, c.2000. Square-headed door opening with rendered surround, c.2000, and replacement glazed uPVC door, c.2000, having overlight. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
An attractive modest-scale house, built as part of a group of four related houses with a second identical house to north-west (22810085/WD-21-10-85) framed by two larger units (22810083, 6/WD-21-10-83, 6). Although some of the original fabric remains intact, the inappropriate replacement fittings to the openings, together with the rendered surrounds to the upper floors, have compromised some of the historic patina of the composition. Nevertheless, the house, together with the remainder of the group, makes a strong impression in the streetscape.
