Detached single-bay single-storey rubble stone railway goods shed, built 1878, with square-headed carriageway having canopy over, and single-bay single-storey side elevations. Decommissioned, 1967. Now disused. Pitched slate roof (continuing into canopy having profiled timber supports) with clay ridge tiles, timber bargeboards, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Random rubble stone walls with lime mortar, red brick quoins to corners, and red brick bands to gables. Segmental-headed window openings with stone sills, red brick block-and-start surrounds, and remains of 10/10 timber sash windows (glazing now missing). Square-headed carriageway with red brick block-and-start surround, timber lintel, and glazed timber boarded double doors. Set back from road in grounds shared with Cappoquin Railway Station.
An attractive outbuilding incorporating fine detailing, despite the utilitarian purpose for which it was built. The construction in rubble stone with red brick dressings produces an appealing textured and somewhat polychromatic effect that enhances the visual appeal of the composition. Although now long disused, the building retains its original form and massing, with substantial quantities of the original fabric surviving. The building is of particular significance as a reminder of the various structures necessary in the operation of Cappoquin Railway Station.
