Terraced three-bay two-storey house, c.1830. Refenestrated, c.1930. Renovated, c.1955, with openings remodelled to left ground floor to accommodate commercial use. Reroofed, c.1980. Now disused to left ground floor. Pitched (shared) roof with replacement artificial slate, c.1980, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and replacement 1/1 timber sash windows, c.1930. Square-headed door opening with cut-stone step, replacement timber panelled door, c.1980, and overlight. Square-headed openings remodelled, c.1955, to left ground floor with replacement fixed-pane timber display window, c.1980, door opening now boarded-up, and rendered surround, c.1955, continuing into shallow stepped fascia over. Road fronted with concrete brick cobbled footpath to front.
An attractive, modest-scale house retaining most of its original form and massing, together with some of the early fabric. While the inclusion of a shopfront to left ground floor has not detracted considerably from the external appearance of the composition, the present (2003) dilapidated state does not enhance the visual appeal at street level.
