Two-arch rubble stone footbridge over river, c.1830, with single-span section to north-west. Random rubble stone walls with stringcourse supporting random rubble stone parapets having rubble stone vertical coping. Pair of round arches with rubble stone voussoirs, and squared rubble stone soffits having render over. Single span to north-west with cut-stone lintel. Sited spanning Greagagh River providing access to chimney to south-east.
A picturesque rubble stone bridge that forms an attractive feature on the Greagagh River. The construction of the arches and span, which have retained their original profile, identifies the civil engineering heritage significance of the composition. The bridge is distinguished by its original intended role, providing access to a chimney (22826003/WD-37-26-03) from the distillery (later a flour mill) on site (22826021/WD-37-26-21), and, together with the chimney, the bridge presents a landmark site in the centre of Clashmore.
