Detached two-bay single-storey gate lodge with dormer attic, extant 1841, on a rectangular plan. Now disused. Pitched slate roof with lichen-spotted clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond central chimney stack on shallow cushion course on roughcast base having red brick capping, lichen-spotted coping to gables, and remains of cast-iron rainwater goods on limewashed eaves retaining cast-iron downpipe. Part creeper- or ivy-covered limewashed roughcast walls. Square-headed window openings with concealed dressings framing remains of timber fittings. Set back from line of road at entrance to grounds of Glenbeg House.
A gate lodge forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gateway (see 22902020) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at the entrance on to the grounds of the Glenbeg House estate.
