Detached two-bay single-storey thatched farmhouse, extant 1841, on a rectangular plan; two-bay single-storey rear (north) elevation. Renovated, ----. Replacement hipped and pitched water reed thatch roof with exposed hazel lattice stretchers to decorative raised ridge having exposed scallops, cement rendered central chimney stack having concrete capping, and blind stretchers to eaves having blind scallops. Replacement cement rendered walls bellcast over rendered plinth. Square-headed (west) or pair of square-headed (east) window openings with concrete sills, and concealed dressings framing replacement timber casement windows. Set perpendicular to road on a corner site.
A farmhouse identified as an integral component of the vernacular heritage of County Waterford by such attributes as the alignment perpendicular to the road; the compact rectilinear plan form; the construction in unrefined local fieldstone displaying a feint battered silhouette; and the high pitched roof latterly showing a thatch finish.
