Limestone road bridge, built c. 1850, spanning waterway and mill race, having single segmental arch to east elevation and segmental and round arches to west, latter serving mill race that proceeds south-eastwards. Coursed tooled stone walls with tooled voussoirs and triangular cutwaters. Segmental-headed and round-headed arches. Tooled stone parapets curve around to each side of south side of bridge.
This bridge is notable for its well crafted limestone masonry. It spans one of Galway's many waterways developed as a major infrastructural and engineering project in the nineteenth century.
