Five-arch limestone road bridge over Clarin River, built c.1760. Dressed walls with rubble parapet walls and splayed approach walls. Segmental arches having cut-stone voussoirs and raised keystones. Cut-stone copings to parapets.
This bridge is a testament to the skills and engineering of local craftsmen. The irregularly spaced arches add visual interest, as does the contrast between the dressed limestone walls and tooled voussoirs. The name of the village derives from the original bridge across the Clarin River at or near this point.
