Single-arch limestone road bridge, built c.1875, over Canáil Chonga [Cong Canal]. Segmental arch, north elevation having rusticated walls, voussoirs and string course, and south elevation having tooled walls, channelled rusticated voussoirs and string course. Dressed stone piers to north and dressed parapets with rusticated coping course.
This accomplished limestone bridge crosses one end of the never-completed Canáil Chonga [Cong Canal] between Loughs Corrib and Mask. The bridge has two somewhat different elevations, that to the north side being more finely built. The varying treatments of the stonework adds interest to an elegant arched structure.
