Description

Detached single-storey gable-fronted limestone-built gate lodge, built c.1850, having three-bay front and two-bay side elevations. Pitched slate roof with cut-stone copings and rubble limestone chimneystack. Coursed rubble limestone walls. Square-headed window openings with dressed stone surrounds and lattice glazing and square-headed door opening having timber battened door. Tiny window or roof vent set high in gable.

Appraisal

This gate lodge introduces the former rectory to Killeroran Church of Ireland. It is unusual for having its entrance in a gable and the building is enhanced by the small latticed windows and battened door.
