Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800, having flat-roof porch to front and flat-roof extension to rear. Pitched thatched roof with scolloped ridge, low rendered chimneystacks, and rendered copings to gables. Whitewashed walls with parallel raised quoins, and with dentil detail to eaves. Square-headed replacement timber windows with limestone sills and render surrounds. Porch has round-arched opening to front. Outbuildings to rear.
This is a good example of a thatched house, with three chimneystacks as opposed to the more typical single stack. The retention of the thatched roof makes this house significant in the district and the addition of a not untypical porch type adds further interest.
