Three-arch road bridge spanning Abhainn Ghabhla [Owengowla], built c. 1860. Coursed rock-faced limestone construction with camber arches with voussoirs. Parapets have rounded render copings. Rubble limestone field walls attached to ends of parapets.
This road bridge displays skilled local craftsmanship, well executed stone-work and attention to detail, obvious in the arches, voussoirs and coping. It is an essential communication and transport link for the area and provides an insight into mid-nineteenth-century bridge-building in rural Ireland.
