Single-arch road bridge spanning Abhainn Ghabhla [Owengowla], built c.1820. Recent repairs and extensions to north-west and south-east. Irregularly coursed rubble stone construction with round arch and dressed stone voussoirs with keystone. Parapets have upright stones to copings.
This road bridge displays skilled local craftsmanship, well executed stone work and attention to detail, obvious in the three arches, voussoirs and coping. It is an essential communication and transport link for the area and provides an insight into early nineteenth-century bridge-building in rural Ireland.
