Freestanding hexagonal-plan two-stage dovecote, built c.1800. Rendered rubble stone walls with rubble stone corbels to east, north-east and south-west faces, rubble stone and red-brick cornice and parapets. Square-headed aperture for birds to north elevation. Square-headed door opening to south-east face with rendered rubble stone voussoirs, replacement timber lintel and replacement battened timber door. Interior has concrete floor and exposed rubble stone walls with ten tiers of three nesting boxes to faces of interior.
This is a fine and very rare example of a dovecote. Its hexagonal form is unusual and the stonework is well built. The nesting boxes survive intact.
