Detached five-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800, with dormer attic, northern two bays being addition. Pitched thatched roof with raised scolloped ridge, and rendered chimneystack. Rendered walls, front elevation having rendered plinth to sill level, and parallel quoins and eaves course. Square-headed window openings with replacement timber windows, painted stone sills, and decorative render surrounds. Set parallel to road with garden to front bounded by rendered wall. Two-storey rendered outbuilding to south-west and yard to south.
This building retains many characteristics of the vernacular building tradition, including a thatched roof and, low chimneystack and small openings. The decorative render details enhance the visual appearance, and the change in ridge line indicates lengthening of the building in the past. The outbuildings to rear and low boundary wall complete the setting.
