Appraisal

Built within the grounds of Castlegar Estate, this folly can still be seen from the grounds of the main house. Designed as a picturesque decoration in the landscape, this tower has been constructed in a similar style to the medieval Irish round towers. It is part of a group of buildings associated with Castlegar Estate and is of architectural significance to the area.
