Freestanding folly tower, dated 1776, having round-plan, with rendered coursed rubble limestone walls, cut stone to eaves, and corbelled conical rubble stone roof. Set back from road on elevated site in open field.
Built within the grounds of Castlegar Estate, this folly can still be seen from the grounds of the main house. Designed as a picturesque decoration in the landscape, this tower has been constructed in a similar style to the medieval Irish round towers. It is part of a group of buildings associated with Castlegar Estate and is of architectural significance to the area.
