Single-arch railway bridge over road, built c.1860. Coursed squared and snecked rubble limestone with squared and snecked rubble limestone piers and flanking walls with rounded copings to parapets. Segmental-headed arch with cut-stone voussoirs to arch rings. Squared and snecked limestone to spandrels with chamfered coping stones. Single carriageway.
Now over a disused line, the bridge was originally built by the Great Southern and Western Railway Company to carry to Athenry to Claremorris line which was closed to passengers in 1975. Built of well detailed natural stone, it has a pleasing symmetry and is a typical example of railway bridges of the mid-nineteenth century.
