Appraisal

This road bridge displays well executed rustic limestone stone work and attention to detail evident in the voussoirs, parapet and flight of steps. It is an essential communication and transport link for the area and provides a valuable insight into early twentieth-century bridge building techniques. It also plays an import role in the general running of the waterworks plant to the west.
