Detached four-bay single-storey vernacular house, built c.1800. Thatched roof, hipped at west and pitched at east, with low rendered chimneystack. Limewashed rubble stone walls. Square-headed window openings with timber sliding sash two-over-two pane windows. Square-headed openings to entrances with timber battened doors. Set in garden enclosed by curving dry-stone wall to east and having associated ruined outbuildings.
This is a good example of a vernacular house of the late eighteenth/early nineteenth century with opposing entrances and a thatched roof. It appears to have been carefully renovated and largely retains its historic character and architectural interest. The associated ruins attest to the fate of most similar structures.
