Comprises shuttered concrete with stone block cobbling to surface and dressed limestone coping, iron rings set into pier surface with originally four dressed limestone mooring posts, one now remains. Dressed limestone steps give access to boats. Concrete parapet and coping and parallel cobble strips to concrete slipway with horizontal steel bars to centre.
This well constructed mass concrete pier is enhanced by the dressed limestone coping and mooring posts. This pier is associated with the nearby coastguard station and the group is of social, economic and historic signiifcance for the region.
