Single-arch limestone road bridge, built c.1860, carrying road over river. Dressed snecked walls with cut-stone string course. Segmental arch with cut-stone voussoirs. Dressed stone parapet walls with dressed coping stones.
This is a good example of a mid- to late nineteenth-century bridge, the result of engineering and drainage developments, it is one of several bridges of this type in the area. The well cut stone is evidence of skilled stone masonry, The short parapet walls are a subtle marker of the boundary between townlands.
