Four-arch limestone bridge, built c.1820, carrying road over Kilcrow River, with flood arches at remove to northeast. Dressed parapets, round arches, higher to middle eyes and having dressed voussoirs. V-cutwaters to upstream (north) elevation of bridge.
The long parapet walls leading to this bridge create a sense of anticipation. The combination of rubble and dressed limestone used in its construction provides rich textural interest. The original width of the river, prior to drainage, is evident in the siting of flood arches to the north of the present channel.
