Single-arch limestone bridge, built c.1860, carrying road over Kilcrow River. Hammer-dressed rusticated parapets with cut granite string course to external elevations. Segmental arch having hammer-dressed rusticated voussoirs.
This simple single-arch bridge is clearly the work of skilled craftsmen and engineers employed to design a new bridge following river drainage works and associated road realignment. The combination of dressed limestone and granite along the length of the parapet walls provides textural interest.
