Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1850, facing east and having four-bay return to west. Hipped slate roof with eaves brackets, and cut limestone chimneystacks with terracotta pots. Coursed rubble limestone walls. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills and timber sliding sash windows, six-over-six pane to first floor and nine-over-six pane to ground floor, some openings boarded. Outbuildings ranged around courtyard to west of house.
This house is a typical middle-sized farmhouse, its return giving it a characteristic L-plan. The retention of a slate roof and timber sash windows enhances the building.
