Four-arch limestone bridge, built c.1825, carrying road over Streamstown River. Round arches with cut-stone voussoirs. Rubble walls and parapet walls with rendered copings. Rendered walling and V-cutwaters to upstream (south) elevation.
This bridge, together with the nearby tower house and thatched house form an important group of structures associated with the poet W.B. Yeats. The simple round arches create a pleasing effect, while the later addition of cutwaters shows the development of civil engineering techniques and stands as a testament to the skills of local craftsmen.
