Single-arch limestone bridge, built c.1840, carrying road over Ballycahalan River. Round arch with dressed voussoirs. Coursed dressed walls with cut-stone string course. Coursed dressed limestone parapet to east elevation, and rebuilt concrete block parapet to west, with rendered copings, and terminating in square-plan cut-stone piers with pointed caps.
The simple elegant form of this road bridge is much enhanced by the contrast between coursed dressed limestone walls and finely executed cut limestone voussoirs and string course which adds textural interest to the structure.
