Single-arch limestone railway bridge, built 1869, carrying road over Ennis-Athenry railway line. Rock-faced rusticated walls and abutments. Elliptical arch with rusticated tooled voussoirs with margins, and ashlar soffit. Dressed copings to abutments. Recent concrete copings added to parapet walls.
Despite having undergone recent renovations for the impending reuse of the railway line, this bridge nevertheless retains much of its original form and character. Its elliptical arch and abutments as well as decorative features, such as tooled limestone edges, are testament to the skill involved in stone-working in the mid-nineteenth century.
