Single-arch limestone railway bridge, built 1869, carrying road over Ennis-Athenry railway line. Rock-faced rusticated ashlar stone walls and parapets, having recent concrete copings to latter. Shallow stone abutments to each elevation, flanking elliptical arch with rock-faced rusticated tooled stone voussoirs with margins, and ashlar soffit.
This bridge is solidly constructed with well wrought dressings that are clearly the work of skilled craftsmen. It serves as a reminder of the quality of engineering and craft skills in use in the mid-nineteenth century. It forms an interesting group with the adjacent former railway station.
