Detached three-bay two-storey house, built c.1800, with return to rear. Pitched tiled roof with rendered chimneystacks with terracotta pots. Former thatched roof removed in 1975. Rendered walls with projecting central gable-fronted cut-stone porch with pitched slate roof. Timber sash windows with tooled limestone sills. Glazed and panelled door with overlight. Set in mature garden. Detached two-bay two-storey squared-stone outhouse situated to north-east of main structure, built c.1800, now used as an antique shop. Abutted by stone shed with lean-to slate roof. Stone lintels and sills to openings with replacement windows. Segmental-headed opening to south gable end. Site bounded by random coursed stone wall.
Clooncoe House, situated in mature grounds, is located in woodland in the Lough Rynn estate and, originally boasting a pheasantry, may have been occupied by a gamekeeper. Clooncoe House retains much of its original character.
