Terraced three-bay two-storey house, extant 1838. Reroofed. Replacement pitched artificial slate roof with ridge tiles terminating in rendered chimney stack having stringcourse below capping supporting terracotta pots, and uPVC rainwater goods on rendered cut-limestone eaves. Roughcast walls on rendered plinth with rendered strips to ends supporting rendered band to eaves. Square-headed central door opening with concealed dressings framing glazed timber panelled door. Square-headed window openings with drag edged dragged cut-limestone sills, and concealed dressings framing one-over-one timber sash windows. Street fronted with concrete footpath to front.
A house representing an integral component of the domestic built heritage of Westport with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such attributes as the compact rectilinear plan form centred on a featureless doorcase; and the somewhat disproportionate bias of solid to void in the massing compounded by the uniform or near-uniform proportions of the openings on each floor. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with quantities of the historic or original fabric, thereby upholding the character or integrity of a house making a pleasing visual statement in the streetscape.
